Leo Collins, Jr. of Easton, Kan. passed away Friday, February 24, 2012.
Leo was a life-long resident of Easton. He was born August 11, 1932, the son of Leo A. Collins Sr. and Stella (Hasty) Collins.
He was the fourth of five sons. He was preceded in death by all four brothers and his parents.
He served his country as a radar operator during the Korean War. In November of 1958 he married Emma Allen. She also preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, Russell D. and Ronald L. Collins, both of Easton, Kan., daughter-in-law Susan and grandson Victor Maxwell Collins.
Leo worked at Good Johns and the Battery Factory before working for the Kansas State Penitentiary. He retired from their after 37 years.
We will miss you Dad, the boys.
The family has resided on the same block of Easton since 1928 for four generations.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the Davis Funeral Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m Thursday at the Easton Cemetery, Easton, Kan.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Easton Cemetery Association.
