Francis was born March 5, 1918 in Leavenworth County the son of Leo and Stella Hasty Collins.
In 1949 he married Lottie Alice Wahler. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers James A., William H. and Lester O. Collins.
Survivors include his brother Leo Junior Collins, Easton, 2 sister in laws Catherine Collins and Dorothy Collins both of Easton and 10 nieces and nephews.
Francis served in the U. S. Army during WWII from 1942 to 1946 in the South Pacific and received a Purple Heart Medal.
He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 56.
He retired from the V. A. Medical Center after 15 years of service.
