Elsie Marie Weisheim of Freeland, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. Age 91 years. The daughter of the late August and Mary (Hammermeister) Mielke was born July 31, 1920 in Hemlock, Michigan. She married Gottfred Weisheim, April 7, 1940. He passed away August 26, 1996. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Hemlock and enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking and cooking. Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Mary Jane and Rainer David, Freeland, MI; JoAnn and Ronald Ross, Detour Village, MI; Helen and Dennis Claus, Goetzville, MI; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Harold and Olive Weisheim; Walter Weisheim; numerous nieces and nephews. Twelve brothers and sisters have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012, at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock, MI. Rev. Richard Mundt will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and then at the Church from Noon Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
