Raye Francis (Momoo and Aunt Raye to family) passed away peacefully in her home February 19, 2012, at the age of 88.
She had the rare gift of making everyone around her feel as if they were the most important person in the world. Every child, grandchild, great-grandchild; every family member and friend knew that they were the center of her love and attention.
She was the sun that the planets of her family revolved around; and her memory will shine in their hearts forever.
Raye was preceded in death by her husband Billie Francis; daughter and son-in-law Darla and Kenneth Stewart; 2 grandchildren Stewart Robertson and Paul Long, Jr.
She is survived by her son Billie Francis Jr. and wife Carolyn; daughters Karen Long and husband Paul and Terri Rasco and husband George; grandchildren Charles Stewart, Erin Stewart, Kimberly LeRoy and husband Jerry, Randy Long, Jennifer Kirby and husband James, Jessica Long and Ryan Rasco and wife Cathy; great grandchildren Garret Stewart, Alyssa LeRoy and Jack Douglas Kirby; sister Joyce Hatcher; sisters-in-law Marlene Francis, Tuva Francis, and Vivian Francis and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home with funeral service held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 24, 2012. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
