Mr. Edwin Eugene Bohl, 68, of Devine, Texas, passed away at his home Tuesday morning, March 27, 1956. Mr. Bohl was born and lived here all of his life. He had been in failing health, but his death came suddenly. Mr. Bohl, born January 25, 1888, was the son of Louisa Jungmann Bohl and Eugene Leo Bohl.
Survivors include his wife Edna Mechler Bohl; three sons, Edwin Jake ("Sonny") Bohl, James Paul Bohl, and Roy Anthony Bohl; two brothers, Leo A. Bohl and Alex L. Bohl, both of Devine; one sister, Mary Bohl FitzSimon of Castroville.
Rosary was recited at 8:00 o'clock in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel and Mass was celebrated at 9:00 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
Pallbearers were W.D. Schott, Willie Ehlinger, Richard Bader, E.C. Graham, Alfred Rihn and Charles Suehs.
