Marjorie was born to Walter and "Mamie" (Mary Josephine Shurlock) Spurlock in Fort Collins Colorado on Nov. 11 1916. She was the youngest of four sisters: Anna Marie, Eva Loretta, and Gertrude Alice. (Her sister Anna died as a result of a train car accident when Marjorie was 8 years old.)

Her family relocated to California where Marjorie met and married Francis A Yeager in 1938. They had 11 children: Frank "Dusty", Gary, Dennis, Thomas, Mary Jo, Kathleen, Ken, twins Jeanne and Judy, James and William Joseph.

Marjorie appeared on the Groucho Marx show in 1957, when she was pregnant with her last child, William.

She and Frank divorced in 1975 and Marjorie died in 1980 in Los Angeles.

She is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale.
