Judy A. Shepard, 38, Marshfield, died on Friday, July 29, 2011, at House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield, with her family by her side.

Judy was born on February 8, 1973, in Wausau, the daughter of Walter and Charlotte (Syring) Shepard. She attended Trinity Lutheran School, Marshfield, and Martin Luther Preparatory School in Prairie du Chien.

She married Shane Hazen on February 8, 1991, at Trinity Lutheran Church. They later divorced.

Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her children.

She is survived by three children, Faith Hazen of LaCrosse, and Jacob Hazen and Jenna Hazen, both of Prairie du Chien. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Char and Jim Jones, Jr., of Marshfield; her father, Walter Shepard of Crandon; her five sisters, Michelle Shepard of Wabeno, Marcia (Clark, Sr.) Shepard of Crandon, Carole (Mark, Sr.) Daniels of Crandon, Tammy (Larry, Jr.) Picha of Marshfield, and Amy (Michael) Stover of Louisville, Kentucky. She is further survived by her maternal grandmother, Ellen Syring of Marshfield; twenty one nieces and nephews; and eight great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandfathers, Clarence Syring and Elmer Syring; paternal grandparents, Aileen and Frank Shepard; and a cousin, Eric Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Jon Guenther officiating. Burial will take place in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in the Town of Cameron, Wood County.
