Lynn, a 13 year old 8th grade student at Clark Junior High School in Glendale , was a huge Freddie Prinz fan. She cherished her autographed photograph of the the actor, and was devastated when he committed suicide on January 29, 1977. Two hours after Prinz's funeral, Lynn found her father's .38 caliber pistol, put it to her head, and fired. She died the next day at Verdugo Hills Hospital. In her suicide note, she asked that she be buried as close as possible to the actor, and that his photo be buried with her. She wrote, "I find it hard to live now, though it is really no one's fault but my own. I don't want people to feel sad about my death after I commit suicide. I would like to be buried next to (or as close as possible) to the late Freddie Prinze, my favorite actor-comedian "
She signed off her long note with these words "If Freddie had lived, so would I. He died, so will I. Please don't think I'm stupid or sick because I'm not. This is just the way I feel"
