James R. "Jimmy" Grey, 60 of Brazil died February 20, 2012. He was born July 16, 1951 in Clay County the son of Warren Grey and Virginia Devlin Grey. He graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1969. On August 31, 1973 he was united in marriage to Luann Young Grey. He attended Indiana State University and in 1979 he began ownership of Grey's Automotive Supply. He owned and operated the business until 2009. He stayed on with the business part time for the past 3 years. Jim also had a love for business opportunities. He would look for a "good deal" on buying a house and then do some fixing up and later sell on contract so a family could have a home. He was respected for his knowledge of business and trends in the Brazil area.
You also couldn't know Jim without knowing about his fascination for bicycles. He was known to collect the unusual and the eye-catching bike. He was also known for his collection of hats and currently had enjoyed seeking out unique automobiles. He also was an avid runner in the past, but lately he had been sticking with walking their newest four –legged friend, Jenny. Yes, we have to also remember his long time friend, Forrest. Forrest was the best trained corgi ever; always at Jimmy's side. Jim used the phrase that Forrest was his soul mate.
Jim and his family are members of the First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Brazil Elks Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his father Warren Grey.
Survivors include his wife Luann Grey of Brazil; their daughter Megan Grey Bayler and husband Jared of Terre Haute; his mother Virginia Grey and brother Philip Grey, sister Sue Ann Grey all of Brazil; and a large circle of very close friends and neighbors.

At his request, cremation will take place with a Celebration of his life to be held on Friday at 7:00pm at Lawson-Miller Chapel. Friends may gather from 5-7.
Honorary pallbearers will be Les Miller, Jeff Cope, Jeff Chamberlin, Doug Williams, Harvey Roscoe, John Roach, and Matt Rains.
