Richard Rex Swihart, 74, of Boston, Elizabeth Township, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012. He was born March 29, 1937, in Morgantown, W.Va., and was the son of the late Joseph Charles Sr. and Loverna Madge (Dunn) Swihart. He was a member of Park Baptist Church, Versailles, Point Marion American Legion Post 0499, the Elizabeth Township Ex-serviceman's Association, the NRA, and was a Gold Circle member of the VFW. He was retired from the Carpenter's Union, Pittsburgh, and was an Army Veteran. Richard was a proud American. He was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Charles 'Sonny' Swihart and John Franklin Swihart.
