John Franklin Swihart, 68, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010.

He was born November 17, 1942, in Nineveh, a son of the late Joseph Charles Sr. and Loverna Madge Dunn Swihart.

Surviving are three sisters and a brother, Loverna Gilbert and Richard Swihart, both of Mc-Keesport, Phyllis Squires of Waynesburg and Sierra Lanham of Cheat Lake, W.Va.

Deceased is a brother, Joseph (Sonny) Charles Swihart Jr.

He lived in Pittsburgh and McKeesport for many years before making his home in Waynesburg.

Mr. Swihart loved to visit museums and libraries. He enjoyed genealogy. He loved to travel and do jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 23, in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, W.Va., with the Rev. Kenneth Haines officiating. Burial will follow in North Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery, Marianna.
