Vicki, thanks for the response! I had contacted Yerva back in 2012 to ask about her sources, and it didn't help much. Here is her response:

Hi I am responding to your question concerning sources. When I first started I was stupid and didnt write down sources but I also am very leery of family trees as I see to much misinformation on there. Asa & Rachel's marriage date is from U.S. and International Marriage Records,1560-1900 (posted on Ancestry.com). Alot of information came from the Pennington Research Institute I believe its called whose members have done alot of research on the different lines of Penningtons. Also the list of children of Timothy and Susannah Pennington is from a letter written by Robert Elijah Pennington to Jonnie Mae Shaufler. The letter was written on March 20, 1941. They are descendants of Riggs Pennington, brother to Asa and son of Timothy. The information concerning Corben is from my family. My great great grandmother is Sarah Elizabeth Pennington who was born in 1850. She was born in Missouri but Corben and Elizabeth (McGehee) Pennington moved to Coryell Co., Texas. They raised their family there. Sarah married my gg grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Beckett ( I have a copy of their marriage license albeit not a great copy sent to me by a genealogist who works in the courthouse in Coryell Co.) Hope this helps you. Yerva

Suggested edit: This part of his BIO needs to be corrected. "He was a son of Asa and Mary (Tyler) Pennington." Since it also states in the BIO lower down that he is the son of Timothy Pennington and Nancy Susannah Riggs Pennington. Please delete one or the other because he can't be the son of both sets of parents!
