Born Feb. 4, 1886, in Russell Co., she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Holl. Before marrying Clarence Newcomer, March 22, 1910, she taught in rural schools in the county for 6 years. The family moved to Russell in the fall of 1955 from the Hornview neighborhood. Survived by son, Loyd, Boulder, CO; daughter, Mrs. Edith Palmer, Russell; sister, Mrs. Irene Opdycke; and brother, Levi Holl, both of Russell; 7 granddaughters and 2 gt. grandchildren.
