Professional Hockey Player. A native of Calgary, Alberta, McCool played for teams in the NCAA and NHL Hockey Leagues. He played for Gonzaga University from 1938 to 1940, and the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1944 to 1946. He was the recipient of the Calder Memorial Trophy. McCool, who suffered from ulcers during his playing career, passed away due to ulcer complications at age of 54.
