Mr. Arthur James "Jimmy" Cason, age 58, died Saturday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a member of the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Cason farmed for over twenty years and for the past fifteen years worked as a surveyor and later with All Day Land Surveying of Brooklet. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Cason was preceded in death by his father, James Abel Cason.
Surviving is his wife of 24 years, Annette Brigdon Cason of Statesboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Carlos James and Christine Cason of Atlanta and Jeffery John Cason of Statesboro; a daughter, Sarah Rebecca Cason of Statesboro; his mother, Ouida Cason of Statesboro; and a grandson, Tyler James Cason of Atlanta.
The visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Scott officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
