Jackie Broach, 63, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away at her daughter's home with her beloved dogs at her side on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Visitation will be on Friday, February 24, 2012 at White Chapel Funeral Home from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Jay Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Ms. Broach is survived by her loving daughter, Rebecca Scott (Jim); beloved granddaughter, Lyndsey Whaley (Cory); great grandson, Jackson Coty Whaley; brothers, James E. Pearson, Jr. and Shannon Pearson; two nieces and two nephews. Mrs. Broach was an active member of the Capital City Jayceettes, as chapter president, state president, and national vice president of the Jaycee women. As a Montgomery Jaycee, she was the first female region director and the No. 1 region director in the nation. Through the Jaycees, she began her 20+ years of devoted and loving service to the Montgomery County Junior Miss Scholarship Program, serving as their President/Chairman. Through the Junior Miss Scholarship Program, she made a difference in over 1000 girls' lives. Pallbearers will be Jim Scott, Cory Whaley, Andy Baker, Eddie Macksoud, Gary Davenport and Conrad Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be the former participants of the Montgomery County Junior Miss program. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Montgomery County DYW, made payable to Alabama Junior Miss Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 242235, Montgomery, AL 36124, for a scholarship in her name.
