Jimmie graduated from Chamblee High School. She belonged to the Future Homemakers of America. After graduation, she married and was an Administrative Assistant at the Georgia State University Baptist Student Union.

Her funeral was Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Norcross, Ga., where she was a member. Cindi McDonald officiated.
Jimmie was survived by her husband, Dearl Keith Davis, son Brian Davis of Covington, Ga., son Christopher K. Davis, of Florida, two Daughters, three Granddaughters, one Grandson, one Niece, two Nephews, Great Nieces, and a Great Nephew also survived her.
Her son Christopher, a designer of integrated circuits, and Georgia Tech Graduate died on April 24, 2015, from a brief fight against cancer. Her son Brian, died June 30, 2017.
