Mary M. Fletemeyer Ellet, 71, of West Lafayette, died at 6:43 PM Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1987, in Lafayette Home Hospital, where she had been a patient since Sunday. Born July 2, 1916, in Lafayette she was reared in Lafayette and was a Jefferson High School graduate. She married John J. Ellet on Nov. 26, 1938, in Indianapolis, and he died June 23, 1974.
Mrs. Ellet had lived in Houston, TX, from 1976 until moving to West Lafayette in 1982. She was a former secretary at Wiley Hall, Purdue University. She was a memer of Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Cooper of Homewood, IL, and Mary Louise (Mrs. Nazmi) Shehadeh of Duluth, MN; two brothers, William S. Fletemeyer of Lafayette and Thomas A. Fletemeyer of Madison, WI; and two granddaughters.
