Russian economist, teacher, co-operator and musician. Doctor of Political Economics and Statistics. He graduated from the law faculty of Moscow University. He defended his master's thesis, "Co-operation in agriculture in Germany and France" (1907). He taught at the University of Kharkov and Kharkov Institute of Technology, Professor. In 1917 he defended his doctoral dissertation "The central banks of the cooperative credit." In 1920 he emigrated to London, then moved to Paris. Vice President, and chairman of the Russian academic team in Paris. He participated in the organization of Russian People's University (1921). One of the founders and leaders of the Russian Institute of Law and Economics at the University of Paris. Delegate of the Russian Overseas Congress 1926 in Paris. In 1927 he founded and led, together with M. Bunatyanom, Economic Seminar in Paris. Professor of the Institute of Slavic Studies. He lectured at the Faculty of the Sorbonne, and headed the department at the Russian Higher Technical Institute (RVTI), conducted an economic seminar in the Institute of Slavic Studies. Organizer of the Society of Russian students to study and consolidate the Slavic culture (ORSIUSK), ran a student choir. In 1928 he was elected a member of the parish council of Saint-Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Paris. Editor of "Bulletin RVTI" (1932-1933). Member of the Board, then the deputy chairman of the Company's former students of Moscow University (since 1931). Chairman of the society "To the knowledge of Russia." In 1931 he was elected to the Franco-Belgian association of professors of economics. He headed the Council of Russian institutions of higher education in France. Member of the Pushkin Central Committee in Paris,(1935-1937). In 1937, Member of the International Congress of Social and Economic Sciences in Paris. The author of the course statistics, on economic and religious issues. He was one of the founders of the International Institute for the Study of Social Movements. In 1942, for his contribution to world science was awarded the French Academy of Sciences. He he arranged charity events, and took part in them as a pianist, singer and composer.
