According to family tradition, William was murdered by Rush Morgan. He was then buried in a fenced-in space just west of Miller's Chapel Church in Ben Hur. This must be what is now called Miller's Chapel Cemetery.
After William's death, Emily married Louis Norstrom. She had been married before she married William to Shred L. Farley.
