She was the middle child of three, with a sister 6 years older, and a brother, 5 years younger. They grew up together in Placentia, California where her parents still reside. Trish was known for performing at church and school events, even at a very young age. She graduated in 1981 from Placentia's El Dorado High School, served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Nashville Tennessee Mission ('84-'85), and completed a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at BYU in 1989. Trish has spent most of the past 20 years in Provo, Utah working at the SirsiDynix software company, and performing in numerous productions here in Utah, including at the Pioneer Theatre Company, the Provo Theatre Company, and the Actors' Repertory Theatre Ensemble. She was also a member of the Actors' Equity and loved theatre and performing all of her life. Some of the numerous productions she was involved in include: Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Angels in America, The Sound of Music and Shadow Lands.

In addition to her family, Trish has always had many long time friends who will greatly miss her. She is most remembered for her energy and expressiveness, her concern for people, and her generosity and willingness to help others. She is survived by her parents (before mentioned), her sister Deborah A. Young (and her husband Bob) of Madison, Wisconsin, her brother Kevin George Reading (and his wife Cindy) of Laguna Hills, California, her grandfather Seth F. Reading, aunt, uncle and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday July 25th at 11:00 AM at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State St. in Orem, Utah. She will be interred at the Provo Cemetery. --19 July 2009, Daily Herald, Obituaries (clarification edits by Sharon B.)
