He was born in Shirleysburg on October 15, 1904, the son of Harry Bard and the late Gertrude Wogen Bard. Surviving are his father, Harry Bard, and his step-mother, Mrs. Irene Bard, one son, William Bard of Mount Union R. D., and a sister, Pauline (Mrs. Leon Burdge, Hollidaysburg.
The funeral service will be held in the Methodist Church in Shirleysburg at two o'clock on Friday, the Rev. James Garthoff pastor of that church, officiating. Interment will be made in Walker Cemetery. Friends may call at the Harry Bard home in Shirleysburg until shortly before the time of the service.
