Alice Kudrna, age 87, of Ivanhoe passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Divine Providence Nursing Home in Ivanhoe.
Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe, MN with Father Paul Schumacher as Celebrant. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. at Birk Funeral Home in Ivanhoe with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Burial will be at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Ivanhoe.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Ss. Peter & Paul Improvement Fund.
Alice Parulski was born on July 6, 1921 to parents Bollie and Mary (Tomaszewski) Parulski in Ivanhoe, Minnesota.
Alice was united in marriage to Emil Richard Kudrna on November 8, 1938 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, Minnesota.
Alice enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Citizens Center and going on gambling trips to area casinos.
She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Grateful for having shared Alice's life are her two daughters, Evelyn Kudrna of Ivanhoe and Debra (Allen) Kolodziej of Midwest City, OK; one brother-in-law, George (Delores) Kudrna of Ivanhoe and one sister-in-law, Emily (Michael) Krause of Marshall, MN and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bollie and Mary Parulski; her husband, Emil; and twin sons at birth; five sisters, Irene Jerzak, Clementina Janssen, Lillian Johnson, Stafania Johnson and Bernice Jerzak; three brothers Walter, Norbert and infant brother Leonard Parulski.
