Joshua Hadley Brown and Sarah Ann Welker were married in Henry county, Indiana.

Their first six children were born in Indiana: Mahalia,
John Adam,

Eunice Lucinda,
Sarah Jane.

They moved to Daviess County, Missouri in 1838/9 in a wagon train with his brothers, father and uncles families.

Hannah Elizabeth,
Joshua Hadley,
James M.,
Daniel.

He moved with his parents from North Carolina to Preble County, Ohio, to Liberty township, Henry County, Indiana, to Daviess County, Missouri where he spent the rest of his life. Joshua entered the Civil War in 1861 and returned unharmed in Feb 1864. He was in the cavalry in the same regiment with his son Joshua Jr. He was a farmer.
