Uncle Wm. Estes was just alive when heard from yesterday, Thursday. Uncle Caleb Jones, who has been at Jellico, Tenn., for the last five months, under treatment for the same disease, cancer, returned home Thursday.

Wm. Estes, aged 76 years, died at his home near Mt. Salem, Feb. 9th. Mr. Estes was a good neighbor and in his death the community loses one of its best citizens, one whose place will be hard to fill. The wife and children lose a kind father and loving husband. Mr. Estes had been a consistent member of the Christian church for a number of years and died in the full hope of a blessed resurrection beyond the grave.
