Nancy, the fourth daughter and seventh of nine children of John Goodell and Mary Warner was born on 4 May 1778 at Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Nancy married as his first wife, Isaac Morse, the son of John and Elizabeth (Bugbee) Morse on 17 October 1798, likely at Sturbridge, Worcester, Massachusetts where all of their children were born. Their children included:
