She was the wife of the late William E. Bennett.
Mrs. Bennett was a registered nurse. She worked for many years as a public health nurse in Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Franconia United Methodist Church in Franconia, Va.
Survivors include two brothers, James W. Mangum and wife Janice of Gaithersburg and Oliver T. Mangum and wife Barbara of Chesapeake, Va.; one sister Margaret D. Pridgen and husband James of Spring Hope, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
