Ruth Birckbichler, 73, of Derwook, Md., died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Washington County Hospital in Hagarstown, Md.
Born Dec. 31, 1932, in Greece City, she was the daughter of John and Anna Bartko Chupka.
She was a secretary in the food service industry. She was also a member of the North Main Street Church of God, and a graduate of Concord Township High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa White of Gaithersburg, Md.; a sister, Marlene Pavlo of Silver Spring, Md.; a brother, Michael Chupka of Pittsburgh; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Birckbichler, who died Jan. 12, 1969.
BIRCKBICHLER - Friends of Ruth Birckbichler, who died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the North Main Street Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth C. Hall officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
