Marcia Ann Garde, 75, passed away on February 16, 2012 at her residence after a sudden illness.


She was born on September 28, 1936 in Joplin, Missouri to Charles L. Garde and Charlotte R. McNally.


Marcia worked for 16 years at Tropicana, they were the greatest people to work for and she loved them dearly.


She graduated Duenweg High School in 1955.


Marcia loved her two sons, and she always said they were the wind beneath her wings. Marcia loved her grandchildren. She also loved her wonderful brothers, her sister in laws and her nieces and nephews.


Marcia was a wonderful lady. She was a loving mother, a hard worker, honest and true. She had hard times in her life, but overcame them to have many more good times. Marcia was always happy, positive and loving. She had many great friends too numerous to mention that loved her very much and she also loved them right back.


Marcia was survived by her two sons, two brothers, two grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.


She was preceded in death by her parents, loving aunt and uncle, Ray and Theresa Gilstrap and beloved nephew, John Garde.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.


A visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City.
