Lawyer, 72, Dies After Car Wreck. Joe L. McLemore, 72, of 9702 El Patio Drive, a Dallas attorney for 41 years, died here Friday from injuries received in an automobile accident downtown last Sunday. McLemore was critically injured when the pickup truck he was driving east on Main and an automobile traveling south on griffin collided. The driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries. A native of Waco, McLennan County, McLemore had lived here since 1901, and at the time of his death was connected with the law firm of McLemore and Street. He received his law degree from Jefferson School of Law. He was an Army veteran of World Wars I and II, and was a member of the Schofield Memorial Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Restland Wildwood Funeral Chapel. Entombment will be in Restland Abbey. McLemore is survived by his wife, Evelyn.
