Adam Gahn
died Friday morning at his home in Emporia. The body will be brought to Topeka for burial. Funeral announcements later.

The funeral of Adam Gahn was held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Shellabarger's chapel. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery.

Adam Gahm
was born in Jackson county, Ohio, Feb. 5 (sic), 1854.
His parents were born in Siberia, Germany, and came to Ohio in 1853.

On January 18, 1974, he was given in marriage to May Louisa Steinhart and came with her to Illinois and located in La Salle county where they resided until 1887 when they came to Kansas and settled in Butler county.
To this union were born nine children: Mary Margaret, Chas. Ransom, James Allen, John Frederick, Martha Elizabeth, George Elias, Andrew Nicholas, Mabel Agnes and Nellie Abigail.

Mrs. Gahm departed this life on Nov. 29, 1916, at Topeka, and interment was made in the Mt. Hope cemetery, Topeka, Friday, Dec. 1st.
He is also preceded by two sons, James Allen of Joplin, Mo., who died Nov. 20, 1912, and John Frederick, of Lancaster, Pa., who died Jan. 29, 1917.

On April 17, 1918, he was united in marriage to Miss Ada Hubbard, of 8 West South ave., Emporia, where he resided until his death, which occurred at 4 a.m. Aug. 15, 1919.

Interment was made in Mount Hope cemetery, Topeka, by the side of his first wife, Monday, August 18th.
He is survived by his second wife, Mrs. A. Gahm, 8 West South ave., Emporia; Mrs. W.H. Clark, Eldorado, Kan.; Chas. R. Gahm, Little Sioux, Iowa; Mrs. J.H. Warner, St. Marys; Geo. E. Gahm, Overbrook; A. Nicholas Gahm, Valley Falls; Mrs. Geo. Kelley and Mrs. John Dooley, of Topeka.
