1900 US Census lists Dicie as age 1 and living with her parents and siblings in Turnback Township, Missouri.

1910 US Census lists Dicie as age 11 and living with her parents and siblings in Independence Township, Pope County, Arkansas.

October 15, 1916 Dicie and James "Calvin" Cotton son of James Marion Cotton and Nancy Ellis-Cotton are married by the Justice of the Peace, Noah Ford.

This union would bring forth two children:

Tressie Mae "Pat" Cotton-Howard 1917 – 1992
James Calvin Cotton Jr. 1919 – 1995

Dicie died June 9, 1994 in Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas. She was returned to Lubbock, Texas and was laid to rest next to her husband Floyd McKinley Bowden.

Dicie was a wonderful woman, a loving mother,sister, wife & Aunt,she left behind a loving son and daughter, and their families for all to enjoy.
