Rudolph Rauscher Obituary

Rudolph H. Rauscher, 89, RR1, Lockridge, died Wednesday, Oct.31, 1990, at Henry County Health Center.
He was born Jan. 2, 1901, north of Lockridge, the son of Ernest T. and Hattie I. Rupp Rauscher. On May 26, 1929, at Four Corners, he married Ruth E. Hollander, who preceded him in death May 28, 1953.
He farmed south of Lockridge in Jefferson County all his life and worked as a night watchman at Rauscher Seed Company for over 20 years. He was a member of the First Augustana Lutheran Church, Lockridge.
Survivors include one son Roy E. Rauscher, rural Lockridge; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Edna) Moehle, Mt Pleasant, and Mrs. Paul (Bertha) Mende, Alhambra, Calif.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m., at Weir Funeral Home, Mt Pleasant, with Rev. Ernest Elzey officiating. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon Friday at Weirs’s Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. A memorials has been established to the Jefferson County Cancer Fund.
