Edna Elliott Moehle
MOUNT PLEASANT - Edna Elliott Moehle, 76, formerly of Lockridge, died at 1:25 a.m. today, Friday, April 15, 1994, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. Moehle was born June 16, 1917, in Lockridge, the daughter of Ernst and Hattie Rupp Rauscher. She married Nathan Elliott on June 16, 1940, in Lockridge. He died Oct. 30, 1965. On Feb. 27, 1981, she married Norman Moehle in Mount Pleasant. She was a member of First Augustana Lutheran Church at Lockridge and ELCF of the church. She taught in the Lockrdge schools.
Surviving are her husband; a sister, Bertha Mende of Calif., a niece and a nephew. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Rudolph Rauscher.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Elmer Elzey officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery at Mount Pleasant. Open visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. There will be no family visitation. Memorials have been established to the Mount Pleasant Public Library and First Augustana Lutheran Church.
