He was born the son of George & Catherine (Cullen)Sparrow.He had one sister Verona (Sparrow)Hicks. Nine brothers,William, Tom,John,James,Valdimer,Walter,Edward,Curtis,Chris . He married Mary "Mollie" Sylvia (Davis) on Aug. 3, 1903. He was the father of Nellie Kathryn (Stansbury, Aders), William Ralph and Leo Russell(died in infancy).Edward and baby Leo died of TB. Edwards's wife Molly wanted the baby buried in the same coffin as his dad but it wasn't allowed so they are buried next to each other instead.
