"The entire community was saddened by the news of the death of Mrs. Wellington Crippen of Middlefield which occurred, Wednesday morning, December 10th. She had been a patient at Thanksgiving hospital for nearly three months suffering from an incurable disease and her cheerfulness and courage touched the hearts of all who visited her bedside. She was the daughter of William and Calphurnia Tabor and was born on the farm about two miles south of Middlefield, March 14, 1863. She was united in marriage to Wellington Crippen, October 11, 1894, and went to Worcester to reside ... She is survived by her husband, three brothers, Frank and Burdelle Tabor of Middlefield and William Tabor of Syracuse; two nephews, Foyd Tabor of Worcester and Howard Tabor of Middlefield, and one niece, Mrs. Ray Baker of Syracuse. The funeral will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church at Worcester, Saturday at 1 p. m., the Rev. C. H. Henry officiating. Burial in the Worcester cemetery."
