Mrs. Dorothy Helen Simon died Friday, March 2, 2007, at Heritage Inn after a long illness. She was a native of Treutlen County. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Matthew Simon; and one son, Larry Simon, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Simon is survived by one daughter, Burnette (Howard) Hendley, Statesboro; two sons, Charles (Barbara) Simon, Statesboro, and Matthew (Audrey) Simon Jr. Lithonia, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Judy Simon, Statesboro; three sisters, Zadie Wiley, Alma (Marvin) Riggs and Sara Coleman, all of Statesboro; sister-in-law, Sara Christian, Statesboro; brother-in-law, Layton Clark, Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mrs. Dorothy Helen Simon will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Charles Townsend officiating. Burial: Eastside Cemetery. James R. Barnes Mortuary, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
