Mrs. Katherine Ann "Kathi" Cook Empfield - a native and resident of Mobile, AL died Monday, February 13, 2012 at the age of 56, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Kathi was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Wilson Cook and Bobbie Jean Goodloe Cook.
She is survived by her husband, David Lee Empfield, Sr.; three children, David Lee Empfield, Jr., Daniel Bryan Empfield, and Kristen Elizabeth Empfield; three sisters, Tina Cook (Jess) Savell, Pamela Cook Batley, and Cynthia Cook (Thomas) Guy; one brother, Timothy Wilson (Teresa) Cook; her aunt, Mary Ann (Bobby) Davis; nieces and nephews, Isabella Grace Savell, Garrett Batley, Shane Batley, Michelle Cook Masters, Scott Guy and Michael Guy; and her sisters in the Order of Polka Dots Mystic Society.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, February 17, 2012 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon on Friday at the funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
