Husband of Susannah Johnson. She was Captured by the Indians along with her Parents and siblings as a youth. A book "The Captivity of Mrs Johnson" written by her mother tells the tail of their experience during 4 years of captivity and was quite notable at the time.
Samuel was a Capt in the part of the Rev army which invaded Canada in 1775. He was one of the original incorporators of Concord in 1781 and setteled here in 1787. He is buried in Pike Cemetery. (notes from History of Woodstock, VT by DANA)
