Betty Louise (Brown) Bass

NEVADA, Mo. - Betty Louise (Brown) Bass, 75, of Nevada, formerly of El Dorado Springs, Mo., died July 17, 2004, at the Moore-Few Nursing Home in Nevada.
She was born July 10, 1929 in Hammond to Walter Eugene and Lela May Burke Brown.
She married Johnnie Bass on Feb. 14, 1953 in Benton County, Ark. He survives.
She lived in the Kansas City area for many years and drove a school bus for 15 years for the Lee's Summit School District before moving to the rural area near El Dorado Springs, in 1994.
She lived here until her health forced into the nursing home in Nevada.
Additional survivors include six children, Everett Bass of Mt. View, Mo., Delena Gibson of Lake Annette, Mo., Tim Bass of Pittsburg, Randy Bass of Birchtree, Mo., Lona Showman of Lake Lottawana, Mo. and Lela Bass of Lee's Summit, Mo.; two brothers, Richard Brown of Chicago, Ill. and Larry Brown of Garland, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brothers Lawrence Carpenter and Eldon Brown; her sisters, Lavina Brown Ede, Roxanne Brown Scott, Beatrice Brown Farmer and Florence Brown Prince.
She was a member of the Jerico Springs Baptist Church in Jerico Springs, Mo., but due to health conditions in recent years attended the Nevada Assembly of God Church in Nevada.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Hackleman Chapel.
Interment will be in Brasher Cemetery under the direction of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home of Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time.
Arrangements will be under the direction of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home of Nevada.
