ROCK FALLS - Darlene Kent, 93, of Rock Falls, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Prophetstown.
Darlene was born on June 14, 1918, in Tampico, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Kilroy) Chriest. She married Russel Kent on Jan. 16, 1936. He died in October 1990.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy (Ronald) Leuschke of Sterling; one son, Douglas Kent of Rock Falls; one sister, Ida (Charles) Adams of Tampico; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Charles Kent; two sisters; and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Rich Fassig of Rock Falls United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
