DOROTHY HARRIS (NEE: BARTON) - 84

Dorothy Barton Harris, 84, of Jacksonville died December 14 in Humana Hospital, Orange Park. The Glen St. Mary native was the daughter of the late John O. and Margaret Burnsed Barton. She was a homemaker and member of the Wesconnett Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband Ernest in 1976. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Nell Hall of Fernandina Beach; two sons, Ernest Dare of Interlachen and Stanley Mark of Jacksonville; a sister, Lecile B. Morrison of Panama City, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held December 16 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home with Chaplain Mike Akers officiating. The eulogy was given by Jack Hubbard. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny. Casket bearers were: Wayne Clifton, William Walters, John Morrison, and George Silcox. Fraser Funeral Home, Macclenny, was in charge of arrangements.
