LAFAYETTE ? Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, in the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, for Mr. Willie Oliver Adcock, 87, who passed away early Sunday morning at his residence in Lafayette. Interment services will be held at Fountain Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Lafayette, La. following the chapel service. The Rev. James Croft, of Calvary Baptist Church in Lafayette, will officiate the funeral services. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Dula Mae Adcock; sons, Billy Adcock, of Groves, Texas, and Randy Adcock, of Vidor, Texas; daughters, Jeannie Brown, of Mauriceville, Texas, Grace Warren, of Homewood, Miss., and Tommie Bodin, of Port Arthur, Texas,; four stepdaughters, Sharon Hollier, of Breaux Bridge, Judy Broussard, of Breaux Bridge, Darlene Duhon, of Breaux Bridge, and Cynthia Velez, of Jacksonville, Fla.; two step-sons, Jimmy Hargrave, of Pasadena, Texas, and Terry Hargrave, of Carencro, La.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; and 21 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. John Oliver Adcock and Mrs. Fronia Elizabeth Davis; one son, John Adcock; one step-son, Tony Hargrave; one step-grandson, Benjamin Simon; and one-step-great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Hollier. A native of Texas and long time resident of Lafayette, Mr. Adcock worked as a small engine mechanic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the time period of World War II. He will be greatly missed by all of those who loved and knew him. The family requests visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday and will continue from 10 a.m. today until service time.
