Born in Sugar Grove, he was a son of the late Henry Benjamin and Nellie (Puffenberger) Bodkin.
He was a retied carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Floda (Mersing) Bodkin; two sons, Donald L. Bodkin, Alta Vina, Calif. and Arthur D. Bodkin, Baltimore; five daughters, Mrs. Agnes Lambert, Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Mrs. Olive Helmick, Thomas; Mrs. Beulah Felton, Rowlesburg; Mrs. Nellie Winow, Front Royal, Va.; Mrs. Edith Jones, Elmore; one brother, Aud G. Bodkin, Point Marion, Pa; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Simmons, Harman; and Mrs. John Wade, here; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Greenlief Funeral Home where a service will be conducted today at 2 p.m.
Rev. Meade Gutshall will officiate and interment will be in Parsons City Cemetery
