Mrs. Meta Doebert, 71, of Glenbeulah, died at Plymouth Hospital early this morning after an illness of a week. The former Meta Albrecht was born on Feb. 3, 1897, in the town of Greenbush, a daughter of the lat Mr. and Mrs. August Albrecht, and attended St. John's Lutheran School in Plymouth. She was married to Walter C. Doebert on May 1, 1917 in Plymouth. The couple operated farms in the Townships of Wilson, Lyndon, Mitchell and Greenbush before moving to Glenbeulah in 1944. Her husband died in 1960. Mrs. Doebert was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plymouth; the Zion Lutheran Ladies' Aid and the Bible Class in Glenbeulah.
Survivors are three sons, Wallace of Greenbush, Marlin of Glenbeulah and Arvin of Plymouth; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Emil and Louis, both of the Town of Wilson; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Nottling, Milwaukee. Four sons and an infant daughter preceded her in death. One of the sons was killed in action in World War II.
