Charlotte, April 30--(AP).
Johnson D. McCall, 77, former mayor of Charlotte, died at his home today after a long illness.
He was a native of Union county. He practiced law here many years. He was mayor of Charlotte at the turn of the century and was a leader in the fight for prohibition in the state.
Survivors include his widow, and five children from an earlier marriage, Prestiss H.McCall, of Charlotte; Prof. Fred B. McCall, of University of North Carolina; Robert M. McCall, of Charlotte; J. Vannoy, of Washington; Mrs. C. J. Christianson, of Charlotte.
