Ben visited his brother Harry (H.H.Higginbotham)in Georgia and prior to his death he was living with his sister Carrie & her husband. He died on April 27, 1939 (per Death Certificate-Informant was his sister Carrie Heard) and is buried at Oxford Memorial Methodist Cemetery, Oxford, Alabama near his parents.
