His funeral card from the Russell County Kansas Historical Society files, reads:
George H. Dumler (sic, aka Johann George H. Dumler)
George, the son of Fred and Mary Katherine (Beck) Dumler was born February 18, 1886 at Bloomenfeldt, Russia (sic). He died at the Russell Hospital on November 21, 1956. His age was 70 years, 9 months and 3 days.
In early infancy he was baptized in the Lutheran faith and in 1890 he came to America with his parents. They settled on a farm in Russell County and he has been a resident of Russell since that time. He attended Elementary School, was confirmed and grew to manhood here. He was united in marriage to Lydia Milberger at Russell on May 29, 1910. There were two sons born to this union, both of whom survive him. For some years he engaged in farming and later he came to Russell where he was a member of the A. A. Roth Mercantile firm for many years. After this firm sold out, he engaged in the operation of the Mobile or White Eagle Gas and Oil Filling Station in Russell. A few years ago he decided to retire from active business and established a trailer court on Windsor street. Together with his wife they established a nice home at 69 Windsor street, and he looked after and managed the nicest trailer court in Russell, until be became ill about one week before his death.
Mr. Dumler was active in all community and social, church and civic enterprises. He was a member of the Russell Fire Department for 26 years, and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Brotherhood.
To treasure and cherish the memory of George H. Dumler are his wife, Lydia; two sons, LeRoy of Wichita; Roland, Liberal, Kansas; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Fred, Mike and Carl, all of Russell; one sister, Mrs. Mollie Voos of Greeley, Colorado. Many other relatives and a host of friends.
Services - Held Saturday, November 24, 1956 from the Deines Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. and from St. John's Lutheran Church at 2:30.
