His Obituary from the Russell County Kansas Historical Society reads:
David M. Dumler, 86, City Resident, Dies
Davis M. Dumler, a resident of Russell for over 70 years, died at 4:40 a.m. today at the AlaFern Nursing Home where he had been a patient two years. He was 86 years old.
Born Sept. 15, 1879, in Bloomenfeldt, Russia, Mr. Dumler came to the United States and Russell in 1891. He married Amelia Milberger December 27, 1900.
Mr. Dumler was the retired operator of a feed and grain elevator.
Survivors include the widow of the nursing home; daughters, Mrs. Amelia Droegemeier; Mrs. Agnes Spencer and Mrs. Imogene Hoffman, all of Russell, Mrs. Mildred Kling, McPherson; and Mrs. Mollie Colombo, Denver, Colo.; sons, Albert S. and Julius, both of Denver, Colo.; Paul, Hobbs, N.M., and Bernard, Canadian, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Four of his children preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with Rev. R G. Sedo, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
