Mrs. David M. Dumler
Russell - Mrs. Amelia Dumler, 89, died Wednesday at the Russell City Hospital after a short illness. Born Oct. 19, 1881 at Russell, she was married to David M. Dumler December 27, 1900 in Russell. He died January 12, 19166 at Russell. She was a life time resident of Russell.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Russell.
Survivors included sons: Albert, Lakewood, Colo.; Julius, Wheat Ridge, Colo; Paul, Hobbs, New Mexico; Bernard, Canadian, Texas; daughters: Mrs. Amelia Droegemeir, Mrs. Agnes Spencer and Imogene Hoffman, Russell, Mrs. Mildred Cling, McPherson; Mrs. Mollie Colombo, Englewood, Colo.; Sister Christine Gee, Russell; 13 grand children and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church with Rev. Ernest Pihl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. Thursday until service time at the Dienes Funeral Home, Russell.

Mrs. David M. Dumler
Amelia Dumler, daughter of John Jacob and Mollie Kathrena (Wilbert) Milberger, was born Oct. 19, 1881, at Russell, Kansas. She died at Russell City Hospital on Aug. 25, 1971. Her age was 89 years 10 m months and 6 days.
Baptized in infancy and later confirmed in the Lutheran Church, she retained her faith throughout her life.
On Dec. 27, 1900, she was married to David M. Dumler, also of Russell, who died January 12, 1966. They had 13 children. They had celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary at the AlaFern Skilled Nursing Home. She remained a resident of the home until she suffered a fall and was admitted to the hospital on Aug. 11, two weeks before her death.
Survivors are the children: Mrs. Amelia Doegemeier, Russell; Albert S., Lakewood, Colo.; Mrs. Agnes Spencer, Russell, Julius H., Wheatridge, Colo.; Mrs. Mildred Cling, McPherson, Kan.; Mrs. Mollie Colombo, Denver, Colo.; Paul A. Hobbs, N.M.; Bernard M. Canadian, Tex.; and Mrs. Imogene Hoffman, Russell; one sister, Mrs. Christina Gee, Russell; 13 grandchildren, Dr. Larry Dumler, Nancy Stankiewicz, Jim Spencer, Ca Carolyn Pribyl, Wayne Cling II, Harry, Steve and Brian Hoffman, Debbie and Gina Dumler, Coila Jo Wagner, Tommy Manson and Janne Atkinson. Also 16 great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Jacob and Alex, three sisters, Pauline, Mollie and Katie, and one grandson, Bill Hoffman, who died in the service of his country in Vietnam.
A family service was held at 9 p.m. Friday evening at the Deines Funeral Home. Final rites were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, Pastor Ernest Pihl officiating, at St. John Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Howard Vladar was organist. Hymns were "Jesu, beh voran" in the German, and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." The quartet was Ed Sewell, Clint Seifert, J. E. Morgenstern and Ferd Niedenthal.
Pallbearers were Dr. Larry Dumler, Barry Hoffman, Wayne Cling II, Jim Spencer, Larry Pribl and Jim Stankiewicz. Burial was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Deines Brothers Funeral Home was in charge.
